8/3/2023 0 Comments Biglybt my ipTried turning it on and allowing BiglyBT but nothing. Using the sites you mentioned, I was surprised to see it connecting on no ports on the mac. Ergo, that lead me on this wild goosechase. I observed yesterday that whatever upload credits I got, they happened when the torrent had finished and it was doing its checking of the downloaded bits. Praise the gods! You were right about incoming connections. Not yet the smooth ride I'd hoped for, but hopefully getting there. I don't have time or desire to sit for hours and unf#k Windows after every update to get torrents working again, so I acquired a Mac Mini M2 Pro 16 GB RAM to serve as dedicated torrent machine. Sick of corporations deciding what I may and may not run on my machines. Installed Tixati on the main torrent machine and it didn't work. Installed Tixati on one updated test machine and it worked. Next Windows Update, QBitTorrent got disabled, too, and neither of my two Windows machines were responsive to the software. Installed QBitTorrent instead and that ran fine. Then several updates later, it happened again and I disabled every firewall, malware, antivirus on planet earth and it still wouldn't run. Per the Internet, others experienced the same and provided some fix for it that I followed and it worked. It started for me that with Windows Updates on Windows 11, my uTorrent stopped working. Thanks! I'll give it a read and compare to my settings. (QBT wouldn't install on this Mac Mini.)Īny ideas what to do? Anyone else having similar problems on Mac? Great torrent speeds on Windows over WiFi. QBitTorrent would use literally everything it could and it was great to see. Previous client I used on Windows was uTorrent and QBitTorrent. I've looked around in the settings on BiglyBT but there's so much of the settings and I can't find anything indicating why it's this way. Internet Speedtest says I've got 390 Mbps download and 475 Mbps upload. For example, I was first on a torrent on a private tracker today and got the 5 Gb in a few minutes and proceeded to upload a weak 1 Gb over the next 8 hours. The trouble I have right now is after I started using BiglyBT I've gone from decent download/upload ratios on the torrent sites I've used since 2005 with no problem, to an about-to-get-kicked-out ratio. There, after looking for RSS supporting torrent clients, I found BiglyBT, which is really the only one I found that supported it and installed properly. Good afternoon - with Windows 11 blocking torrent clients, I moved from uTorrent on Windows 11 to the latest Mac Mini.
